Sparkle the Otter woke up one chilly January morning and peeked outside the river home.“Brrr!” Sparkle giggled. “Winter is here!”

Snow covered the ground like powdered sugar, and Sparkle loved sliding on the icy riverbanks. After a long morning of sliding, rolling, and splashing, Sparkle noticed something was wrong.
